Brick Column Mailboxes

Brick column mailboxes make a beautiful addition to your home, especially when the mailbox column matches the same stucco, stone or brick used on or around your home. Brick or stone mailbox columns also provide excellent protection against damage to your mailbox, but unfortunately homeowners too often make the mistake of installing the smallest and cheapest mailboxes into their beautiful brick/ stone columns. Perhaps this is simply because there was no alternative, but to us here at Janzer it made absolutely no sense to waste all that available space inside such a large beautiful column... So we designed a mailbox that utilizes the interior space provided by these columns, and we have used our 20+ years of mailbox knowledge to solve all the problems that other brick mailbox designs inherently contain.

coming_soonWhat Features Should a Brick Column Mailbox Have:
(Think about the What-if’s before you buy, not after.)

  1. A brick mailbox column should be modular and removable, so if it is defective or damaged it can be easily replaced without requiring you to destroy the entire column to get to the mailbox!
  2. A brick mailbox column should utilize the interior size of the stone or brick column itself and be large enough to receive and securely store a week’s worth of mail or more, so that you can travel without having to worry about stopping and restarting your mail services.
  3. A brick mailbox column should have a delivery door that is large enough to allow for the delivery of large parcels and packages.
  4. A brick mailbox column should allow you to send out-going mail.
  5. A brick mailbox column should allow convenient collection of your deliveries from the safety of the rear of the unit, so that you will not have to step into the street. Note: This also allows homeowners with gated homes to collect their deliveries without having to go outside of their gate.
  6. A brick mailbox column should have a removable collection bin so that you can easily collect your deliveries without having to bend down to the ground and also so that you can carry the contents into your home after
you have returned home from traveling.
  7. A brick mailbox column should be made out of aluminum so that it will never rust and will last as long as the stucco, stone or brick column itself! Janzer’s Brick Mailbox Columns Provide All these Features!

The Main Problems with Other Brick Mailboxes:

  • Most other manufacturers make their column mailboxes out of steel, so unfortunately it won't be long before they rust. Moisture from rain & condensation is the main reason metals rust, and so enclosing any non-aluminum mailbox within a column will actually accelerate this unavoidable rusting process. This is because air is unable to flow through and therefore not able to evaporate the moisture. We have a saying here that sums up the this logic... "If you want a seed to grow put it in soil, and if you want a mailbox to rust
    put it in a column!"
  • The next big mistake others make is that they permanently install cheap mailboxes in the stone or brick column. This means that when they rust (and they will), the brick column must be destroyed in order to remove and repair/replace the defective mailbox.
  • Additional they are either not secure, too small, do not allow for packages to be delivered, make you have to practically get on your knees to collect your deliveries or do not utilize the shelter and size of the inside of the brick column itself.

The Janzer Brick Mailbox Solution:

  1. First off, our column mailboxes are constructed entirely of aluminum and assembled using stainless steel hardware, so they will
    absolutely never rust!
  2. Secondly they are made up of two modular compartments, a delivery compartment and a collection compartment. This exclusive modular mailbox column design means that if they are ever damaged, you will not have to destroy the brick or stone column in order to repair or replace our mailbox.
  3. Thirdly since the mailbox is being inserted within the stone or brick column… What sense would it make to build a box within a box? Instead we built the delivery and collection doors within their own frames, which are then simply attached with security screws to the brick/stone column itself. This reduces our cost of materials which enables us to offer a superior aluminum product that will last, yet it is competitively priced with other inferior steel mailbox inserts that will absolutely rust and will therefore need to be replaced in as
    little as 1-2 years.

So purchase a superior mailbox from Janzer…
And you will appreciate your decision every day, when you return home to collect your secure mail!
